CNC Machine Operator (1647-146)

We currently have several openings for CNC Machinist with set up experience a plus.
Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Setup and run 2-Axis Lathe and Mills
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.
A- Day shift: 6:00am to 6:00pm. Week 1: Sun- Tues, Week 2: Sun to Wed
B- Day Shift 6:00am to 6:00pm. Week 1: Wed-Sat, Week 2: Thurs-Sat
Pre-Employment Requirements: Drug and alcohol test
Physical Requirements:
The employee is regularly required to stand for the entire work day.
The employee regularly lifts and carries 15 lbs and occasionally lifts and carries up to 75 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Repetitive bending, reaching, pulling, and lifting (90% of the time).
Pushing and pulling wheeled carts weighing up to 1000 lbs. (10% of time).
Required Skills
Basic blue print reading and interpretation skills.
Basic tool skills, including the ability to use a tape measure, calipers and micrometers.
Basic organizational and time management skills.
Basic computer skills.
Required Experience
Must have at least 1 year of experience using CNC lathes
Must be familiar with G and M codes
Must be able to read blueprints and use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
